Responsibilities -
• Deliver new software with established functionality on time.
• Assure that the development process is maintained with the offshore development team.
• Coordinate with onshore development team regarding offshore development team activities.
• Track the progress of tasks with Project plan.
• Track and escalate risks as appropriate.
• Work with onshore project management to establish and agree on feasible priorities and scope.
• Work with the Quality Assurance team to deliver software code updates and getting it built.
• Work with Quality Assurance and product management to agree on defects to fix.
• Work with architects onshore and offshore to understand the technical software architectures and designs.
• Manage software development teams including off-shore teams.
• Work with Product Management and field Consulting teams to: Develop detailed project development plans, effectively present and communicate those plans to all levels within the organization; Deliver software applications based on the development plan; Plan and estimate resource and time requirements for development; Direct developers and provide guidance in terms of solution design and code review; Act as technical and/or project lead; communicate complex technical concepts and development plans to senior management and customers in writing and verbal presentations.
Job Requirements
• Master’s degree in Engineering 5 +years of experience as a Sr. Software Engineer, Development Manager/Lead or any other job title delivering new software with established functionality on time.
• Experience working with onshore project management to establish and agree on feasible priorities and scope.
• Good communication skills
We require a person with very strong technical knowledge on java, J2EE Platform, excellent communication skills, sound problem solving and analytical skills. Even if a person would be entitled one of the senior most positions at XXX COMPANY, he/she would needs to work on technical areas like coding, designing, reviewing code, architecture etc
